Part-time (BEFL) Employee
All benefits-eligible part-time employees are provided the opportunity to enroll in our benefits program. In this program, you may select the benefits you need for yourself and your eligible dependents. The premium for these benefits WILL NOT be deducted from your paycheck.

What You Need to Know:
Enrollment Information:
The current Cigna healthcare plans (OAP High, OAP Standard and SureFit) will continue to be offered to eligible part-time employees and their dependents. There are rate increases on all three healthcare plans for the 2023 plan year. There are, also, minor plan design changes to the OAP plans. The plan design for SureFit will remain the same.
If you are currently enrolled in healthcare, your benefit will continue for the 2023 plan year. The cost of this benefit WILL NOT be deducted from your paycheck. FBMC Benefits Management will send a monthly invoice for your healthcare benefit.
If you wish to make changes to your current benefit or enroll for healthcare benefits effective January 1, 2023, you will need to complete the online enrollment through FBMC’s online self-service benefits enrollment platform. Visit https://transamerica.benselect.com/MDCPS. You must have your employee ID and your confidential PIN. Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your SSN + the last 2 digits of your birth year.
As we transition to an online self-service benefits enrollment platform, should you want to receive an enrollment form this year via mail, contact the FBMC Service Center at 1-855-632-7748, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., ET, before the enrollment deadline of November 15, 2022.
NOTE: There is no Board contribution towards the employee’s and dependents’ coverage. Part-time employees are responsible for the full monthly cost of the Board-approved healthcare plans. The cost of these benefits will not be deducted from your paycheck.
Flexible Benefits:
If you are currently enrolled in Flexible Benefits (i.e. dental, vision, HIC, legal, etc.), those benefits will continue for the 2023 plan year.

Dependent Coverage:
When enrolling your eligible dependent(s), you must have a valid Social Security Number at the time of enrollment for each dependent. You must also submit proof of eligibility documentation (i.e., marriage certificate for spouse, birth certificate for natural children) upon request. If you do not provide the required documentation, coverage will be terminated.
You can terminate your dependent’s coverage throughout the year, but you will not be able to re-enroll the dependent until the next Open Enrollment. You can add a dependent throughout the year if experiencing a qualifying change in status event.
Termination of Employment:
If you are no longer employed by the School Board, you will be provided the opportunity to continue your benefits in accordance with the Federal COBRA Law. You will be provided the ability to continue your medical, dental and/or vision plan if active and paid up to date at the time of termination.
